Cultivated in the Mejerda Valley of Tunisia, an historic artichoke-growing region, this puree of fresh artichoke hearts is blended with extra virgin olive oil to create a rich spread that tastes like fresh steamed artichokes. As with all of the Mahjoub products, this is produced using traditional farming methods with no additives or artificial processes. It is 100% organic.
Spread onto a slice of grilled baguette as an appetizer, or as an ingredient in salad dressing. It also makes a great spread for a veggie sandwich or mix with olive oil for a fresh and light couscous or pasta sauce.
These condiments do not have preservatives. To make them last longer: keep upright, top with olive oil upon opening (can do this every use if desired), and refrigerate.
