Trilby Nelson textiles and home goods celebrate color, pattern and an unexpected use of materials.
Trilby's studio practice draws upon her art and design background and balances between making handmade fiber art and designing textile and home product collections.
Childhood memories with a vivid sense of place and observations from Trilby's daily environment inspire her work and take form in vibrant color combinations, playful shapes and varied textures.
Trilby strives to leave a minimal impact on the environment and work closely with U.S. manufacturers to ethically and sustainably produce my products. Great care and joy is taken in selecting sustainable materials: biodegradable wool felt, recycled cotton, Maine raised wool and Virginia grown cotton give each piece unique beauty, texture, and warmth.
Trilby grew up in Fairfield, Iowa and now lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
