Castello ColleMassari I.G.P., from the Maremma coast of southern Tuscany, is one of the finest expressions of Tuscan olive oil. Produced by the Bertarelli family in the Montecucco wine area using entirely organic farming methods, this oil is known for its blend which contains 20% of the very rare and peculiar Olivastra Seggianese cultivar located only in Alta Maremma. Among ColleMassari’s groves of Olivastra-Seggianese are 3 of the 10 oldest olive trees in Tuscany (over 960 years old)! Castello ColleMassari also contains the classic Tuscan cultivars Frantoio, Leccino, Moraiolo, and Pendolino.
