This popcorn came from seeds that originated with the Sac and Fox Indians. This heirloom variety popcorn was shared with a pioneer family in Iowa in the 1850s and grown on the family farm for generations. The last quart of popcorn was nearly lost in the 1970s, but enough was saved for planting so you can still enjoy it today.
The kernels are tiny and packed with flavor. Due to its small size, this popcorn is best popped on the stove top.
