Les Comtes de Provence traditional and organic jams are made in Provence by expertise inherited from ancient jam recipes and cooked in pots. Our 30 years’ expertise as a jam-maker has allowed us to develop delicious recipes. Jams rich in fruit, taste and flavor.
Our organic jams are rich in fruit (up to 65% for jams and 80% for compotes) and light in sugar. As for organic compotes, they are not as sweet and cook more slowly, making them richer in fruit.
Les Comtes de Provence has opted to cook its fruit in pots. This is a traditional method, used by artisans and also our grandmothers. The width of the pot spreads the heat out to ensure the fruit cooks evenly and prevents overcooking. This enhances the concentration of taste and flavor. Cooking in pots also preserves the environment, because the temperature rises faster, leading to energy savings.
