Much of the inspiration for The Hat came from a visit to Denmark. It is the story of how Hedgie the hedgehog gets his head stuck in Lisa's woolen stocking. Unable to get it out, he pretends he's wearing a new hat. Fans of all ages will enjoy this companion volume to The Mitten.
